We haven’t been able hold our usual competitions throughout the Covid crisis, but there is no reason why we can’t have a photographic competition this summer.

Keep your eyes peeled for a fabulous looking container planting. Probably one with more plants, less mermaid! It could in a pot, a planter, a window box or a hanging basket.  You have until the end of August to spot and snap one that you think could be a winner. Email it to either Liz on Ekpsimmons@btopenworld.com or Jane on jane.y.c@icloud.com together with your name, a short description of why you liked it  and where you photographed it.

The winner will be announced in September and will receive a £10 gardening voucher.
