Marden Horticultural Society is delighted to be participating this year in Marden’s ‘Art in the Garden Festival ‘, in the garden and grounds of Mill Farm House, the home of MHS member and artist, Claire Dominic, and her husband, Darren.
Taking place over the weekend of Saturday 10th September (10:00 to 17:00) and Sunday 11th September (11:00 to 16:00) there will be up to 30 Artists, Artisans and Crafts people of different media and disciplines, e.g. Jewellers, Glass makers & Wood Turners Artists who work in Oils, Watercolour, Pastel, Mixed Media, Lino Printing, Drawing , 3D Sculptors, Ceramists and Florists, holding stands and stalls to display their creative work.
As well as the opportunity to purchase unique art and crafts, visitors will be able to relax in the beautiful surroundings of Mill Farm House, with refreshments from a beer and alcohol tent and food from the very popular Bakehouse. All this and live music throughout the weekend too.
The MHS committee and helpers are looking forward to meeting with visitors to tell them about our many activities. We will be selling plants, seeds, bulbs and other garden effects from our stand, and are planning to have some fun activities for children. We will be partnered with the Marden Wildlife Group who will be there to educate visitors about their work to protect the natural world around our village.
The RSPB will be present as the chosen charity, together with the Ukrainian Appeal.
It promises to be a weekend of creativity, beauty, relaxation and fun. Do come and join us.
