How to support peas

There is an easy and low cost way to keep pea plants off the ground and easy to pick. Here is how to do it using Hazel sticks.

Pea seedings have been sown in modules, hardened off and are ready for planting out. Collect some twiggy Hazel branches that are flexible enough to weave together and push the cut ends firmly into the bed of soil you have prepared, making a circle of sticks.Plant the seedlings inside the circle of sticks.
